Stony bottoms is a long skeer left hand side  of tynemouth long sands, It fishes best on a falling northerly or southerly sea with a slight swell and it is best fished with a bit of colour in the water

fish the skeer 2 hours either side of low water but watch your back as the water comes in  at the back on the flood.   Stony fishes well on worm baits  but best baits is fresh or frozen crab mixed with mussel. This mark produces some cracking fish in the winter months
