blyth west pier is a fantastic mackerel shot in the summer months but gets a bit overcrowded.

some good size codling , whiting in the winter on peeler or lug baits.

In the winter i  go to the bend on the pier and lob about 80/100yds seaward  aming towards the white house on south beach, and have had some nice codling
