go down the stairs to the north of the lighthouse, the gulley starts at 4m deep and goes down to 8m this makes a great fish holding spot in the winter season it is great fishing for cod and coalfish.

In the summer there is wrasse and the odd cod if there is a good sea running  Best when a good sea is running for 2-3 hours of the flood cast towards hartley about 20m  but prepare to loose a few rigs
