The whole of the beach fishes with a good northerly sea running. When there is a medium surf move to the south side of the beach and fish the last of the tide down and about a hour of the flood. marks to try are watts slope, panama dip and south wilkies. With a heavier sea fish the north skeer at the north end of the beach. At hgh water fish at the boat house  and the promanade at the north end of the boat house.  Best fishing at whitly beach is between october to march using worm and mussel or fresh or frozen crab
